Lend Me a Tenor- Wig Master and Construction
West Virginia University's production of Lend Me a Tenor.
Director: Lee Blair
Designer: Alexandria Vazquez
For Maggie's Wig- A lace front was added to a standard wig. It was dewefted and had a lace front added. After adding wefts onto the lace front, I ventilated the remainder of the lace front. After the wig was completely ventilated, it was rolled and set into style.
For the Otello Wigs- Two stock wigs were pulled and cut to equal lengths. The hair was rolled and then styled in a matching fashion. The turbans were sewn onto the wigs to create a single unit.
